Fine Art & Flowers In the early 1990s, while Cathy was teaching color and commercial photography at Butte College, she reentered the world of academia as a student. She enrolled in ceramics and art history classes at California State University in Chico. Inspired by the works of American artists Georgia O’Keefe, Imogene Cunningham and Judy Chicago, she created a collection of floral mandalas that became an ongoing series: “Looking Glass Flowers.” Cathy continues to create meditative mandalas of flowers and tide pools. She also enjoys hand oiling black and white, infrared scenic photographs. back to top |
